Tonight’s Webcast Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Audio Conferencing Deep Dive (Level 300) will be availible here: http://bit.ly/bonqUQ. Dennis L. Thomsen did a great presentation, congratulation on presenting your first Webcast! Dennis is OCS MVP and you can find him at http://msgoodies.blogspot.com/
I asked Dennis of the prefered implementation (ACP replacement) method, his answer is “rip and replace”. I´ll just say: end-user training!
It´s my opinion that the no.1 reason for a OCS project failing is poor interaction with the users, mapping the business needs to the technical solution and training end users. Feedback is so important. Working at UClarity, I get a chance to see the results of end-user experience surveys. It´s interesting reading in many ways.
According to Dennis, many companies have their entire OCS project financed (in about 6 months) by the cost saving the make on replacing the old dial-in conferencing system (ACP) with OCS 2007 R2 dial-in conferencing.
